Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and is known for its excellent climate, warm people, diverse cultural and natural beauty.

There is certainly plenty to draw you here. The two main towns being Girne and Famagusta, the capital city being Lefkosa and three of its mightiest Crusader castles St Hilarion, Buffavento and Kantara. Salamis is the island’s most significant archeological site. The wilderness areas, particularly the Kyrenia Mountains, are a hiker’s paradise and there are plenty of beaches that still remain free of high-rise resorts.

Visit Varosha and see the Karpaz Donkeys, the Whirling Dervish in Lefkosa, the Arasta District in Lefkosa Old City, Bellapais Abbey & Village, Turtle watch at Aligadi, climb to the Crusader Castles, visit the walled city in Famagusta or do some Tandem Paragliding.

Furthermore, any visit to Cyprus which includes both sides of the island offers the unique experience of two very different cultures: Orthodox, Greek Cypriot, and Muslim, Turkish Cypriot. There is also the small matter of cost – being outside the Eurozone, the north can feel considerably cheaper than the south, and the tourist infrastructure is gradually improving.
